What we do
Introducing Sight For Kids
Globally, visual impairments affect 19 million children^. Children with severe early onset vision impairment often experience delayed motor, language, emotional, social, and cognitive development.1,2 School-age children with vision impairment can also experience lower levels of educational achievement and self-esteem than their normally sighted peers.3
Founded in 2002 by Johnson & Johnson Vision, and the nonprofit Lions Club International Foundation, Sight For Kids® is the largest-known school-based vision screening programme in the world.
The Sight For Kids programme mobilises eye care professionals and volunteers to provide comprehensive eye health services in low-income schools and has created tremendous impact in communities worldwide. The program also trains teachers to deliver eye health education, perform a visual acuity test, and screen for common eye conditions.
Over the last 20 years, Sight For Kids has equipped communities to provide children with clear and healthy vision.
